Data Processing Agreement
How homeowner enquiry data is shared with you, and what each of us must do under UK GDPR.
Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. Purpose
This agreement sits with the Terms of Partnership. It covers personal data in homeowner enquiries that we allocate to you so you can provide a quote.
2. Roles
My Green Home Energy is the controller of data collected on our website and in our systems. When we allocate a lead to you, you become an independent controller of that copy for the purpose of contacting the homeowner and quoting. You are not our processor, and we are not yours.
3. Data we share
Typically: name, contact details, postcode and property context, product interest, and answers given on the quote form. We do not share payment card data. Special category data is not intended to be collected; if a homeowner volunteers health or similar information, treat it as confidential and do not keep it unless you have a lawful need.
4. What you may use it for
Only to assess, quote, and (if they instruct you) deliver that enquiry. You must not add the homeowner to a general marketing list, sell the data, or use it to prospect unrelated products without a fresh lawful basis from them.
5. Retention and security
If you do not win the work, delete or anonymise the personal data within 12 months, unless you must keep it for a legal claim. Use access controls, encryption in transit, and staff who need the data. Tell us without undue delay if you have a personal-data breach that involves a lead we sent you.
6. Homeowner rights
If a homeowner asks you to access, correct, or erase data we sent, handle that request for your copy and point them to our data rights page for data we still hold. We remain responsible for our own systems.
7. International transfers
Do not transfer this data outside the UK unless UK GDPR transfer rules are met.
8. Ending the partnership
On termination you must stop using allocated lead data except where you have an independent contract with that homeowner or a legal duty to retain records. Our consumer Privacy Policy explains how we handle data on our side.
